The Decision Card Count is in! – Freetown, Sierra Leon

post by Daniel Kolenda on April 30th, 2012

We’ve received the wonderful report that 301,790 people returned completed decision cards at our most recent campaign in Freetown, Sierra Leone indicating that they have made a decision to follow Jesus. These individuals have now been entered into our follow up system and local churches will be overflowing with new converts.

Thank you for standing with us to make this campaign possible. We are now trusting the Lord for the finance for our next campaign in Uganda. Please continue to pray with us that every need would be met.

Breakthrough! – Lokoja, Nigeria – Day 4

January 29th, 2011

Tonight, as always, the emphasis was on the simple Gospel. But part and parcel of the Gospel package is the infilling of the Holy Spirit. After many thousands had responded to the call for salvation, I prayed for them to receive the baptism into the Holy Spirit (as we had done earlier that morning in the Fire Conference). The Holy Spirit fell in mighty power and the place was shaken.

As I started to pray for the sick it seemed like suddenly a dam was unblocked and supernatural power began to rip through the crowd. From where I was standing on the platform I had a front row seat to the amazing spectacle. In one place demons were manifesting. In another place the crowd had erupted in praise as crutches were lifted into the air. Healings, miracles and manifestations began to break out on a large scale right across the field.

Two young men, deaf and dumb from birth repeated after me, “One, two, three…” with amazing clarity. The uncle of one of the boys told me he had NEVER heard his nephew say anything his entire life until tonight!

The Curses Broken – Lokoja, Nigeria – Day 3

January 29th, 2011

We’ve just returned from tonight’s meeting here in Lokoja, Nigeria. As we were sitting on the platform, the archbishop of the Anglican Communion leaned over to Rev. Peter van den Berg and said, “The thing I love about the ministry of Christ for all Nations is that the Gospel is given preeminence and preached without apology and there are few who do that.” We consider that a true compliment.

Indeed, the Gospel was proclaimed tonight with boldness. I preached about the power of the blood of Jesus and thousands responded. Then we burned witchcraft items and I prayed that the curses over the land be broken in Jesus name. What followed was nothing less than an outpouring of salvation, deliverance and healing.

Free Indeed – Lokoja, Nigeria – Day 2

January 28th, 2011

Tonight’s meeting has just come to a close here in Lokoja, Nigeria and we are rejoicing. I preached tonight on repentance, restitution and forgiveness and I am sure that many were set free indeed.

Proverbs 14:34 says that, “Righteousness exalts a nation…” People need salvation more than education, political ideologies, social programs or anything else. When God has a man’s heart He has that man entirely and everything else falls into place. Tonight thousands surrendered their hearts to Jesus and were born again into the family of God. Have a look at the attached pictures of the crowd and a couple of those healed in tonight’s meeting.

This morning was also the beginning of the Fire Conference. The delegates; pastors and church workers, have come to receive an impartation of Holy Spirit power and I’m sure they will not be disappointed in Jesus name.

The Cloud of God’s Glory – Lokoja, Nigeria – Day 1

January 26th, 2011

Greetings from Lokoja, Nigeria! I wish you could have been there tonight for the opening service of our Great Gospel Campaign. There is electricity in the air and great expectation for what God will do this week.

On my way to the field, I saw a picture of a cloud descending on the huge crowd and I am sure that the glory of God is poised to invade this city in an extraordinary way. I preached Christ crucified tonight and then we saw the power of the Gospel demonstrated. Many thousands received salvation and many more were miraculously healed. Have a look at the attached picture of a boy who had a huge, furiously swollen abscess on his leg for 5 years. As I was praying he said he felt a “rushing wind” blow over him and the swelling miraculously disappeared!

Please intercede for us throughout this week. The work happening here is a matter of life and death for multitudes of people. We are co-laborers together with you and whether your calling is to pray, to pay or to preach, each one of us is a vital link in the chain of God’s purposes. Thank you for your partnership.
