The Decision Card Count is in! – Freetown, Sierra Leon

post by Daniel Kolenda on April 30th, 2012

We’ve received the wonderful report that 301,790 people returned completed decision cards at our most recent campaign in Freetown, Sierra Leone indicating that they have made a decision to follow Jesus. These individuals have now been entered into our follow up system and local churches will be overflowing with new converts.

Thank you for standing with us to make this campaign possible. We are now trusting the Lord for the finance for our next campaign in Uganda. Please continue to pray with us that every need would be met.

Goodbye – From Burkina Faso (VIDEO)

January 30th, 2012

Our Gospel Campaign in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, is now over. Hundreds of thousands responded to the call for salvation, many wonderful miracles took place, and the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the multitudes. We are rejoicing! I am just about to meet with some of the local pastors and government officials and soon I will be headed home. But before I go I wanted to share this special video message with you from the field last night. Thank you again for all the prayer and love.

Grand Finale – Burkina Faso – Day 5

January 30th, 2012

We just returned from the final meeting of this campaign in Burkina Faso. I preached about forgiveness and a mass-conversion followed. The field exploded with many thousands of people calling on the name of Jesus for salvation and miracles ofhealing followed the preaching of the Word.

We feel that we have been exposed to what awaits us inheaven, when the crowd, which no one can number, gathers before the throne of God. Thank you so much for praying for us this week.

A Mass Baptism of Fire! – Burkina Faso – Day 4

January 29th, 2012

The fourth night of our Gospel Campaign here in Burkina Faso has just come to a close – and what a meeting it was! The Holy Spirit was poured out on the multitude in a mass baptism of Fire! Dramatic signs and wonders accompanied the preaching of Gospel. An old mama who was totally blind for two years received her sight (see attached pic). A woman with a lump in each of her breasts, said that during the prayer both lumps vanished. A totally deaf woman was also completely healed along with another blind girl.

This morning was the Grand Finale of the Fire Conference. After Rev. Peter van den Berg preached it was my turn. But before I could take the microphone the Holy Spirit was already falling. We just took our hands off the “reigns” and let the Holy Spirit have His way. It was glorious! (…continued)

An Unexpected Outpouring – Burkina Faso – Day 3

January 28th, 2012

The Fire Conference this morning was truly remarkable. I was in the midst of preaching about the fire of God when the Holy Spirit fell. The crowd erupted into spontaneous and fervent prayer, which went on and on. I was taken back and overwhelmed…I never did finish my sermon! We have already experienced a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and we haven’t even come to the final day yet! I guess Jesus couldn’t wait until tomorrow.

Tonight the crowd climbed to over 160,000. That means that over 1% of the population of the entire nation of Burkina Faso, was in our meeting tonight!

A Demonstration of Power – Burkina Faso – Day 2

January 27th, 2012

Dear Mission Partners, The Apostle Paul said, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power” (1 Cor. 2:4) This is what we experienced tonight in Burkina Faso – a demonstration of the power of God!  Have a look at the attached picture of one man who was confined to this strange wheelchair for over 14 years.  Tonight Jesus healed him and he can walk!  Imagine the joy of the crowd when suddenly, that wheelchair/bicycle was lifted into the air and made it’s way up to the platform.  I’ve included a picture that I took with my mobile phone of what it looked like from the platform. A young man testified that he has been demon possessed for the past 6 years.  Every night he said the demons would torment him.  Last night, as I was praying, he said he could feel the demons stirring inside of him and since then they have not returned to torment him. A young woman who was partially deaf and dumb was healed tonight along with an elderly lady whose hand was stiff and paralyzed for many years and others. This morning the…..

Providential Timing – Burkina Faso – Day 1

January 26th, 2012

Our hearts have been broken as we have received the reports about the unrest and violence has broken out across Nigeria; a nation that we love dearly. The situation is so dire at the moment that if we had planned to conduct campaigns there at this time, they would have to be canceled. But the Lord knew what was coming and spoke to us over a year ago and led us to venture out into countries where we have not been in a long time.

After a decade of holding campaigns almost exclusively in Nigeria, this year, in obedience to that word of the Lord, we are launching out all across East and West Africa proclaiming the Gospel and the timing seems absolutely providential….(Continued…)

Come and Die!

January 22nd, 2012

Deitrick Bonnhoffer said, “When Christ calls a man he bids him come and die.”

The Christian life is a crucified life. “Take up your cross and follow me…” was the command of Jesus. “I am crucified with Christ” was the confession of Paul.

But just as we must all take up our cross daily and be crucified with Christ, before we get to Calvary, we always pass through Gethsemane; the place where our will meets the will of God.

Gethsemane is not as dramatic or striking as Calvary, and perhaps for this reason, its importance is often overlooked. But it is here, in this garden, that the battle is fought – and either won or lost…(Continued)

Behind the Scenes: TV Shoot

January 14th, 2012

Recording studios of all kinds are often very antiseptic and artificial environments where genuineness and authenticity are rare. When I record I am always contending for that awareness of the presence of the Lord, but today it was no struggle. We had a full day of taping at the Christ for all Nations television studios in Orlando, Florida and there was a powerful presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the day which started as Evangelist Bonnke ministered. He preached a message on the Resurrection which will air during Holy Week.

Afterwards, my friend and fellow evangelist Michael Koulianos interviewed both Evangelist Bonnke and myself for his television program called “Jesus Image”. Michael has an extraordinary love for Jesus that permeates everything that he says and does. Our conversation was centered around love for Christ and His presence and as we talked we could sense that presence filling the studio…it was powerful.

Finally I had the opportunity to interview Roberts Liardon, who is the author of the God’s Generals series. Roberts has literally read thousands of books as he has studied great men and women of God throughout history and his God’s Generals books have been a great blessing to the body of Christ.

I’ve included some behind the scenes pictures of the day below:

What to do when you can’t sleep

January 12th, 2012

David says in Psalm 63:5, 6, “…My mouth shall praise You with joyful lips when I remember You upon my bed and meditate on You in the night watches.

The ancients had divided the hours of the night into “watches”; for the Jews there were three of them.

The dark, still hours of the early morning are when unsettling thoughts emerge from the shadows and dormant fears awake to trouble the mind. Sleeplessness is a lonely affliction. Fear is a merciless foe. A weary mind that will not rest drains vigor out of the body, soul and spirit.

This Psalm was written when David was hiding in the wilderness of Judah. He had been betrayed by many of his closest friends – including his own beloved son, Absalom, who was now plotting to seize the throne for himself. Oh the worry, the heartbreak and pain that must have consumed David’s mind….(Continued)
