Goodbye – From Burkina Faso (VIDEO)

post by Daniel Kolenda on January 30th, 2012

Our Gospel Campaign in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, is now over. Hundreds of thousands responded to the call for salvation, many wonderful miracles took place, and the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the multitudes. We are rejoicing! I am just about to meet with some of the local pastors and government officials and soon I will be headed home. But before I go I wanted to share this special video message with you from the field last night. Thank you again for all the prayer and love.

Grand Finale – Burkina Faso – Day 5

January 30th, 2012

We just returned from the final meeting of this campaign in Burkina Faso. I preached about forgiveness and a mass-conversion followed. The field exploded with many thousands of people calling on the name of Jesus for salvation and miracles ofhealing followed the preaching of the Word.

We feel that we have been exposed to what awaits us inheaven, when the crowd, which no one can number, gathers before the throne of God. Thank you so much for praying for us this week.

A Mass Baptism of Fire! – Burkina Faso – Day 4

January 29th, 2012

The fourth night of our Gospel Campaign here in Burkina Faso has just come to a close – and what a meeting it was! The Holy Spirit was poured out on the multitude in a mass baptism of Fire! Dramatic signs and wonders accompanied the preaching of Gospel. An old mama who was totally blind for two years received her sight (see attached pic). A woman with a lump in each of her breasts, said that during the prayer both lumps vanished. A totally deaf woman was also completely healed along with another blind girl.

This morning was the Grand Finale of the Fire Conference. After Rev. Peter van den Berg preached it was my turn. But before I could take the microphone the Holy Spirit was already falling. We just took our hands off the “reigns” and let the Holy Spirit have His way. It was glorious! (…continued)

An Unexpected Outpouring – Burkina Faso – Day 3

January 28th, 2012

The Fire Conference this morning was truly remarkable. I was in the midst of preaching about the fire of God when the Holy Spirit fell. The crowd erupted into spontaneous and fervent prayer, which went on and on. I was taken back and overwhelmed…I never did finish my sermon! We have already experienced a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and we haven’t even come to the final day yet! I guess Jesus couldn’t wait until tomorrow.

Tonight the crowd climbed to over 160,000. That means that over 1% of the population of the entire nation of Burkina Faso, was in our meeting tonight!

A Demonstration of Power – Burkina Faso – Day 2

January 27th, 2012

Dear Mission Partners, The Apostle Paul said, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power” (1 Cor. 2:4) This is what we experienced tonight in Burkina Faso – a demonstration of the power of God!  Have a look at the attached picture of one man who was confined to this strange wheelchair for over 14 years.  Tonight Jesus healed him and he can walk!  Imagine the joy of the crowd when suddenly, that wheelchair/bicycle was lifted into the air and made it’s way up to the platform.  I’ve included a picture that I took with my mobile phone of what it looked like from the platform. A young man testified that he has been demon possessed for the past 6 years.  Every night he said the demons would torment him.  Last night, as I was praying, he said he could feel the demons stirring inside of him and since then they have not returned to torment him. A young woman who was partially deaf and dumb was healed tonight along with an elderly lady whose hand was stiff and paralyzed for many years and others. This morning the…..

Providential Timing – Burkina Faso – Day 1

January 26th, 2012

Our hearts have been broken as we have received the reports about the unrest and violence has broken out across Nigeria; a nation that we love dearly. The situation is so dire at the moment that if we had planned to conduct campaigns there at this time, they would have to be canceled. But the Lord knew what was coming and spoke to us over a year ago and led us to venture out into countries where we have not been in a long time.

After a decade of holding campaigns almost exclusively in Nigeria, this year, in obedience to that word of the Lord, we are launching out all across East and West Africa proclaiming the Gospel and the timing seems absolutely providential….(Continued…)

The Crowd Doubles! – Ughelli, Nigeria – Day 2

December 8th, 2011

The crowd doubled in tonight’s meeting here in Ughelli, Nigeria. The dynamics are extraordinary. The word is going out that Jesus is showing up in an extraordinary way.

Tonight I preached about repentance and restitution; certainly not “feel-good” preaching. But the people want to hear the truth and we have a responsibility before God to say it like it is. The Lord also confirmed His Word with signs and wonders: (…Continued)

Epic Faith! – Ughelli, Nigeria – Day 1

December 7th, 2011

Greetings from Ughelli, Nigeria in Delta state, where another Great Gospel Campaign has just begun. Jesus said, “…The night is coming when no man can work.” The time is short and the end is near. This is why we are laboring relentlessly on the harvest field to bring in the sheaves…shoulder to shoulder with you!

Tonight there was electricity in the air. The people are full of faith and expectation. They press in around us; they rush the vehicles as we drive down the street just to touch them in hopes that they will receive their miracle from the Lord. (…Continued)

The Opportunity of a Lifetime – Zaki-Biam, Nigeria – Day 5

October 9th, 2011

Tonight the Gospel Campaign here in Zaki-Biam came to a conclusion. Rain poured down, lightning flashed and thunder rolled with fury, but the people were not deterred (see the attached pictures). We are all so touched by the passion and tenacity of these precious people who simply will not be put off. They were determined to press thorough for their blessing and I believe the Lord will reward their hunger. Once again, the Gospel rang out loud and clear and was confirmed with signs and wonders. We are preparing now to leave this place knowing in our hearts that Zaki-Biam will never be the same again. (…Continued)

The Outpouring Continues – Zaki-Biam, Nigeria – Day 4

October 8th, 2011

This morning was the final day of the Fire Conference and what a glorious climax it was (see the attached picture). Rev. Peter van den Berg and I preached, but before we could pray for the Holy Spirit to fall, it happened spontaneously! The Holy Spirit needs no prodding or coaxing – He is more eager to fill us than we are to be filled! I feel as though we are in the midst of a sovereign and historic outpouring of the Holy Spirit that continues from city to city as we travel throughout Africa. It is a revival that is not confined to one church building or a city, but like a tidal wave, it flows over every border and barrier. (…Continued)

A Gospel Demonstration – Zaki-Biam, Nigeria – Day 3

October 7th, 2011

This morning the rain poured down on the Fire Conference (see the attached picture). Rev Peter van den Berg and I preached under umbrellas and had to cut the meeting short, but the Holy Spirit was there in a powerful way. In fact a blind woman was miraculously healed during that short, rained out meeting.

She testified tonight that the doctors had given her up saying that her blindness was a hopeless case so she sought out an alternative remedy with the local witchdoctor. The witchdoctor told her that his “treatment” would cost 17,000 Nira, but her aunt, who was one of the Fire Conference delegates, asked her to come to the meeting this morning and receive her healing from Jesus instead. (… Continued)
