The Decision Card Count is in! – Freetown, Sierra Leon

post by Daniel Kolenda on April 30th, 2012

We’ve received the wonderful report that 301,790 people returned completed decision cards at our most recent campaign in Freetown, Sierra Leone indicating that they have made a decision to follow Jesus. These individuals have now been entered into our follow up system and local churches will be overflowing with new converts.

Thank you for standing with us to make this campaign possible. We are now trusting the Lord for the finance for our next campaign in Uganda. Please continue to pray with us that every need would be met.

Thousands Receive Christ – Takum, Nigeria – Day 3

March 26th, 2010

We have just returned from tonight’s meeting where many thousands of people received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. I preached about restitution, challenging them to clean the garbage out of their lives and they responded overwhelmingly. There are no words to describe the privilege of leading multitudes of hungry souls into the arms of Jesus.

After the prayer of salvation, it was time to pray for the sick. I asked the people to sing and worship the Lord and as they did, the power of God swept across the field and healing began to take place even before I had a chance to pray……..(Continued)

Shaken by the Gospel – Takum, Nigeria – Day 2

March 25th, 2010

Takum is being shaken by the Gospel this week. Tonight many people brought their juju, idols and witchcraft fetishes to be burned, including a group of Fulani Muslim people that greeted me when I came down from the platform. After they received Jesus as their Savior tonight, they immediately pulled off the old charms that they were wearing and threw them into the barrels for burning. Their faces, covered in tribal markings and tattoos, were beaming with the love of Jesus…….(Continued)

From Darkness to Light – Takum, Nigeria – Day 1

March 24th, 2010

Our journey to Takum yesterday was a very long one. The “harmattan” (a dust storm from the Sahara Desert) covered Nigeria in a thick fog that blotted out the sun and grounded many planes…including ours for lack of visibility. By the time we arrived here in Takum, it was 1:00 this morning. We thought that surely everyone in town would be sleeping. But to our surprise the streets were still lined with enthusiastic locals that had been waiting for many hours to welcome us (see the attached picture). It is clear that this city is ripe for the harvest and we are here bringing in the sheaves.

Tonight, the first service began with Evangelist Bonnke preaching a powerful evangelistic message about repentance. The people received it with Joy, turning “From darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God”.

Interesting Pictures from NUMAN Nigeria

March 7th, 2010

Just a few days ago we held a mass Gospel Campaign in the city of Numan, Nigeria. Over the course of 5 days more than 800,000 people attended the meetings and 557,860 decisions cards were registered from those professing their newfound faith in Christ. You can read the reports from each of the nights below:

As usual, I am posting some interesting pictures that you would not have seen in the normal reports and publications to give you a fascinating “behind the scenes” insight. Enjoy….

“This is a picture of me taking a picture of the coolest instrument ever (see the picture from my camera below)”

“Imagine walking into your room on an EXTREMELY hot day to discover that this is your air conditioner”

Arrival in Sapele, Nigeria

December 8th, 2009

We have finally arrived in Sapele, Nigeria and we are all poised and ready for a mighty harvest of souls this week in the campaign that starts tomorrow night.

This morning we arrived in town and were heartily welcomed by the townspeople (see the attached picture of a little princess who came out to meet me with flowers). There is an atmosphere of eager expectation here and sense that this campaign has been Divinely appointed for this time. Tonight at the pastors banquet, the crusade chairman said, “You are coming at a very strategic period in the history of Sapele, a time when everybody is hoping that God will divinely intervene in the affairs of this town.”

Abakaliki, Nigeria – Powerful Conclusion

December 10th, 2007

Tonight is the last night of the Gospel Crusade here in Abakaliki, Nigeria. Right now I am standing in the midst of the people in this gigantic crowd of 360,000. Evangelist Bonnke has just finished preaching the Gospel and is now praying for the sick. We have been told that Abakaliki is a tough place for evangelism, but the Lord has broken through, and another mighty harvest of souls has taken place.

Last night I had the opportunity to preach the Gospel again. I also prayed for the people to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and prayed for the sick. There was a mighty flood of salvation and healing. Tonight a witch doctor testified that last night he and his whole family received Jesus. They burned their witchcraft items in the big barrels and have confessed Jesus as savior.
